Senior Business Analyst
Location : Chennai
System or Product BAs co-ordinate, plan and perform analysis tasks for their specialist applications and manage internal domain analysis resources for one or more components of a Programme. They act as a reviewer and quality gate for analysis output, challenging IT to ensure root cause is addressed and the right design delivered for user requirements.
What will you be doing?
o Work with Group Stress Testing stakeholders (Finance, QA, Treasury, Risk, RWA, Reg Reporting) in the development of model data requirements as part of model development, calibration, & execution
o Understand and document the data requirements for the various stress testing models. Strategize the optimal process to source the data from various upstream systems.
o Work with the development team to provision the sourced data for the various models at the required granularity
o Design and develop robust internal controls including policies and procedures; change control; and review by internal audit to ensure the data used by the stress testing models are of highest quality through proper data validation and control points throughout the transformation of the data through appropriate lineage being registered.
o Assist in the development of the business architecture required to support the Group Stress Testing process
o Coordinate the development of stress testing MI for stakeholders by guiding the development team on the various reporting needs of the business.
What we’re looking for:
o Bachelor of Science/Business Administration degree in Finance or Accounting
o Experience in financial sector, preferably in the Finance or Finance controls departments.
o Experience in Risk domain, preferably in Regulatory reporting and Stress Testing.
o Expertise in working with sub-ledger, general ledger and consolidation ledger systems.
o Understanding SDLC in an agile environment
o Proven track record of data analytics, java development
o Good communication and organizational skills
o Expertise in Microsoft excel for analysing data through simple functions and macros

o Background in Information Systems (SQL experience)
o Audit or Financial Reporting experience
o Strong communications skills
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills

o Commitment to meeting deadlines
o Ability to write high quality functional specification documentation. This includes design specifications and test plans.

o Strong team player, willing to work on own initiative yet able to communicate well and integrate with a diverse team.
o Confident, enthusiastic, always giving 100% to assigned tasks and being able to handle situations in which they have little or no previous experience.
