The Azure Global Engineering team is seeking a business communications manager to support the leadership team from an overall communication management, organizational brand, content readiness and messaging perspective. This position will report to the CVP/ Chief of Staff of AGE. In this role the incumbent will work to increase the communications effectiveness of AGE. The person in this role will develop and execute against a comprehensive, modern communications plan that encompasses relevant message platforms, speaker effectiveness, and communications content, tools and platforms.
The role will focus on the following:
Ensuring predictable communications management rhythm across the organization, internal teams, and external audiences.
Developing and disseminating business communications.
Integrating AGE initiatives into the larger Microsoft communications planning and readiness.
This person will need to work effectively across diverse groups, including executives, other executive staff, content and business owners. In this role, you will lead the development of a communications strategy that will guide executive engagement with various internal and external audiences You will be a critical player in developing content to be delivered by our executive team including organizational meetings, keynotes, industry engagements, media interviews, videos, and social media. The ability to build the tools and strong workback plans with clear deliverables and to measure the effectiveness of communications is critical.
Drive collaboration between AGE, Marketing, CELA, and internal and external partners; own and manage the CVPs communications, customer engagements, industry presentations
Maximize AGE impact across social channels (blogs/media etc.) and amplify team's thought leadership internally and externally
Contribute to a high-quality monthly ROB, planning cycles to drive and scale execution, and landing communication outcomes in the organization, across the company, and in the field.
Drive development and ongoing management of internal SharePoint site and external web presence
Be the point person for external and internal communications efforts to help manage content, strategy, executive meetings and follow up.
Gather insights and trends to be able to define and design future strategy as well as to support changes in existing strategy.
Demonstrate and develop clear communications, outcomes and program management for each project.
Manage communications content and delivery across matrixed and cross organization teams. Lead and manage matrixed virtual teams that span in partnership with engineering, marketing, CELA, corporate, etc.
Run the rhythm to support executive business communications, which includes building a consistent process, solid engagement plans with clear objectives, and efficient tracking of actions that accrues to business results.
