What You'll Do
Security Business Group is at the fore-front of coming up with new security solutions to pursue the ever-growing security threats in the emerging landscape of services. Engineering development teams that are working on next generation firewalls, security network management, web security and email security are fast-growing their teams to help accelerate the delivery of these new security solutions into the market. Who You'll Work With
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) are flagship products from the Security Business Group (SBG). ASA integrates award-winning Firewall services into a high-performance appliance. FTD is market leading Next-Generation IPS solution providing deep packet inspection capabilities integrating a lot L4-L7 security functions required by Enterprises and Service Providers. Though we take phenomenal pride in being the market leader for a long time, we are constantly innovating and improving our solutions to suit the changing needs of our customers. Our team works on leading edge security and threat mitigation solutions that are high-performing, Scalable and easily manageable for these product lines. We collaborate with other groups within Cisco to inter operate with their products and build solution architectures.
What You’ll Do
Work with a team of motivated A-players to
Engage with customers to create innovative solutions
Work with developers and marketing teams at different stages such as product definition
Drive/collaborate with other technical leaders/software engineers on system/functional design.
Architect and Develop meaningful portions of software independently and rapidly with a focus on quality in an Agile environment
Mentor and lead junior developers in both onshore and offshore locations.
Work as a software architect in a senior lead role on a project team of engineers involved in software development.
Who You Are
5+ Years of Programming skills in C and TCP/IP  
Strong Networking and protocol knowledge
Solid experience in Firewalls, NGIPS and Network Security
Development Experience on Embedded systems in a Linux environment
Experience with one or more of the following:
Software design/architecture in multi-core distributed systems
High performing data-plane functions
SSL-protocol and encrypted traffic inspections
Protocol Inspection Engines
NAT/PAT, Access-lists
Routing/Forwarding protocols
Distributed Computing
Identity/Active Directory/Radius/LDAP
Classification Engines
Network Management Systems
Any L2 to L7 protocol and VPN
