Job Title:
Senior UI Developer - AVP
Location: Chennai
Grade: AVP
 
o   The Senior UI developer role for Financial and Regulatory Reporting is to focus on UI  design, development and delivery of various initiatives (SIPs, BAU) in an Agile operating model within IB Finance.

o   This role will work very closely with the Architect Owner and Agile Team Lead (Scrum Master) to identify and determine strategies for implementation

o   This role will Identify dependencies, changes in infrastructure and suggest improvements by working with Tech Leads, RTB and DevOps
o   Collaborate with the Product Owners and Scrum Master in prioritizing the Sprint backlog and contributing to the Product backlog grooming
 
Your Role
o   Assistance as required in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes. 

o   Liaising with the Design authority to ensure all new components fit within the guiding principles

o   Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards

o   Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback

o   Providing support during SIT , QA and UAT test phases

o   Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during SIT, QA and UAT test phases

o   Support regression testing.

o   Communicate effectively with the other MOTIF development streams and the local development manager.

o   Build reusable code and libraries for future use

o   Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

o   Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

o   Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

o    Ensuring that the solution will be easy to maintain by encouraging design quality and refactoring to minimize technical debt.

o   Ensuring that the solution is integrated and tested on a regular basis, ideally via the practice of continuous integration (CI).

o   Working closely with the Team Product Owner to ensure non-functional requirements and technical debt work items are appropriately prioritized.

o   Working closely with the Service Owner (Run / IT Ops) to define, realize and evolve the service wrapper around the software product

 
Essential Skills
o   Hands on experience of Technology background and experience on development tools

o   Hands on experience on .NET (C#, IIS, SQL)

o   Hands on experience of development experience on  HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ,Responsive design (Bootstrap)

o   Hands on experience  of developing Angular or equivalent framework based applications (backbone, react) 

o   Hands on experience on Oracle RDBMS concepts,SQl/PLSQL is a Plus

o   Familiarity with complex system integration and excellent understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle including both waterfall and agile methodologies.

 
Desirable Skills
o   Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

o   Experience in developing new user-facing features

o   Familiarity with browser testing and debugging

o    Detail oriented

o   Strong written and verbal communication skills     

o   Capable of dealing with diversity

o   Ability to work in a virtual team, across boundaries 

o   Ability to multi-task / self-sufficient

o   Ability to establish direction and drive progress       

o   Excellent interpersonal skills to foster working relationships with all stakeholders
