Qualcomm IT is seeking an experienced systems analyst to support our global payroll and related feeder systems. Responsibilities include: - Work with the development team to analyze and test the enhancements and bug fixes. - Automate processes to reduce manual efforts in testing the application. - Interpreting business scenarios/needs and accordingly design/implement solutions. - Troubleshooting issues, coordinate fixes and, track and report them to completion. - Communicate effectively on functional and technical aspects to ensure successful delivery. - Attend scheduled calls outside of local working hours. - Experience in effective troubleshooting, debugging, automating and designing solutions etc. - Exposure in end-to-end payroll activities/domain. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) OR Bachelors degree in a non-technical field (e.g. Business, Humanities, Marketing) and 1+ years IT-relevant experience OR High School diploma or equivalent and 3+ years IT-relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in Java, SQL and databases, Oracle preferred (knowledge on Java frameworks is a bonus). - Exposure to ADP GlobalView. - Exposure to Workday and/or other HCM PaaS tools. - Exposure to tools like Selenium. - Ability to create and implement test plans, perform testing across various environments - Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes, and quickly apply them - Ability to multi-task, balance competing priorities and follow up in a timely manner - Ability to work seamlessly with both vendors and internal stakeholders - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team to achieve common objectives - Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement on technology solutions - Ability to identify and drive efficiency improvement initiatives - Ability to escalate critical issues to internal and/or 3rd-parties, as appropriate, and communicate status and resolution to QC teams - Ability to articulate and influence internal stakeholders process owners to adopt best practices - Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently while making sound decisions - Comfortable working in a performance-based and structured environment while demonstrating high ethical standards
