This results in very strong teamwork which has shown to be successful in driving issues to resolution quickly. The Service Provider (SP) Customer Support Engineer provides second line phone/email/fax consultation to independently debug complex product problems. We help customers deploy and operate their networks effectively while delivering the best possible customer experience.
Who You Are
You will diagnose and correct issues in our customer’s networks, providing a highly-satisfying customer interaction, not just technical solutions. You can perform break-fix Service Request case handling for Cisco's largest SP customers involving Routing, IOS-XR technologies and Products that include: ASR9k, CRS-1, CRS-3, CRS-X. You are a technical guru in Routing Protocols and have NCS5500 experience. You thrive on providing systems/product training. You can act as a focal point for large account network problem resolution and apply known solutions to solve problems.
You've achieved a Bachelor in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 6-8 years related experience.
You have a deep knowledge of telecommunication systems and network environments.
You can analyze, use, and configure medium and large Service Provider networks
You have in-depth knowledge of Routing Protocols such as BGP, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, MVPN and OSPF.
You have experience in the support structure needed for IOS-XR technologies
Your crisis management skills are second to none; you're consultative in your communication style but also know how to take control when necessary.
You have strong working knowledge and experience supporting NCS6000, NCS5500, CRS ASR9k.
You're organized and talented at multitasking. The position requires the ability to prioritize your work and handle customer commitments.
Minimum CCIE written
The idea applicant would be highly motivated and can work independently. Requires minimal supervision.
You have support experience for UBR10k
Full CCIE preferred
