Your key responsibilities
The role of the Tax Technology Transformation (TTT) Experienced Programmer includes the development of complex web-based platforms to deliver service offerings, create standardized processes for complex ETL issues, manage server and system security, and conduct technology risk reviews. Bring deep technology knowledge as well as outstanding database, data analytics, and programming skills. TTT professionals work closely with clients and internal EY Teams in the following areas: Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital, and International Tax Services. Work on a variety of engagements to incorporate and develop new technology solutions to address complex tax problems.
Skills and attributes for success
Able to manage and actively develop web-based applications and web services in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET technologies
Act as a liaison between Tax Technology Transformation and Global IT to rapidly deploy new technology solutions developed by TTT to the EY Global Technology infrastructure
Help to build custom applications in various platforms, including SQL, for our EY teams and clients
Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance client service delivery
Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions
Develop long term relationships both internally and externally
Coach TTT team members and help EY to build an inclusive culture and high performing teams.
To qualify for the role you must have
A Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field and 8 years or more of related work experience; or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6 years or more of related work experience
Experience in enterprise level software development
6+ years of experience in .NET full life cycle software development using latest .NET stack of technologies
Good knowledge in object oriented and other design principles
Expert level knowledge and experience in technologies/tools such as C#.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET, WCF Web Services, ORM framework, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, Visual Studio, TFS/GIT, Angular JS, AJAX, jQuery, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, XML, JSON
Expert level knowledge and experience in the design and development of databases (specially SQL Server) is must
Experience with Azure and Azure development is preferred
Experience in deployment automation on TFS
Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience in SSIS, SSAS, Share point, Tableau, Power BI and other relational databases is a plus
Experience in big data, visualization methods and processes, and analytics skills
Experience in project planning and team coordination
Experience in US tax domain a plus
Ability to work with clients both individually as well as in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment
Interest in learning new technologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
