As Head of Medical Affairs for Oncology you will be accountable for the strategic direction, business/resource planning, and team leadership of the Oncology Medical Affairs team in Italy.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Head of Medical Affairs for Oncology you will be accountable for the strategic direction of the Oncology Medical Affairs function, define objectives, coordinate and prioritize the activities and resourcing of the Oncology Medical Team in Italy. You will ensure scientific leadership, develop scientific and medical excellence, and build an image of AstraZeneca as a key player in Oncology by developing innovative and differentiating partnerships. This role will report to the VP Europe Oncology Medical Affairs Head and will work in close collaboration with the Italy Oncology Business Unit Head.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS


- Medical Degree preferred , further Oncology qualification is an asset
- Extensive medical affairs  experience in the pharmaceutical industry , with proven track record in prelaunch and LCM medical activities of complex Oncology /Hematology portfolio
- Clear and proven extensive experience of people development , performance management, building performing organization and driving change management and innovation
- Proven ability to interact successfully with external stakeholders , including health authorities
- Evidence of team working and accountability
- Ability to operate and influence  at a high strategic level in the business
- Understanding of the responsibilities of a pharmaceutical company physician in compliance and governance
- Fluent in Italian and English
