The Information Technology Group of Hitachi Europe Ltd
is part of Hitachi’s shared service for Europe and responsible for delivery of
IT services to Hitachi Europe Ltd and the Hitachi Group companies that are
customers of our shared service.


The Information Technology Group delivers end-to-end IT
Services to Hitachi Rail Italy, headquartered in Naples, Italy. Following maternity
we are now looking for an IT Service Manager based at Hitachi Rail Italy in
Naples to coordinate our IT Service Delivery to Hitachi Rail Italy. This is a 6-month
contract with the potential to extend into a permanent similar role that can be
based in Naples or elsewhere in Italy but would require more travel in Europe.


Hitachi Rail Italy is specialised in the manufacture of
technologically advanced rolling stock and is primarily based in Naples,
Pistoia and Reggio Calabria and is also present in Spain and in the United
States, Hitachi Rail Italy has over 2000 IT users.


Role Overview


The IT Service Manager works for Hitachi Europe Srl and is based full time
inside Hitachi Rail Italy in Naples.


 


The IT Service Manager is the single point of contact for Hitachi Rail
Italy for the IT services delivered to them by Hitachi Europe. The IT Services
provided by Hitachi Europe cover client services (desktop, service desk), infrastructure,
SAP hosting and SAP application management.


IT services are delivered with “One Hitachi” Partners
and the IT Service Manager is responsible for managing the partners and the
delivery of their services to Hitachi Rail Italy.


The IT Services delivered through Hitachi Europe by the
One Hitachi Partners range from local on-site service desk and engineers,
on-site & offshore support SAP consultancy, offsite SAP hosting and
regional and global infrastructure services.


The IT Service Manager owns Hitachi Europe’s customer
relationship with Hitachi Rail Italy and is dedicated to Hitachi Rail Italy.


The IT Service Manager will gain good understanding of
the Hitachi Rail Italy business and ensure the One Hitachi service model
services the needs of the customer, both for maintaining operational excellence
and for development through delivery of projects, enhancements and continuous improvement.


Reflecting the seniority of the role the IT Service
Manager will be employed by Hitachi Europe Italy, but report directly into the
IT Director of Hitachi Europe Ltd, based in the UK. The IT Service Managers
place of work will be Naples, with regular travel in Italy and occasional
travel to the UK and other countries.


This is an exciting and challenging new position suited
to a strong customer focused IT Service Manager with a generalist skillset,
ranging from client service to ERP and infrastructure.

- Generalist IT experience with a focus on SAP, must be able to coordinate
and understand end-to-end IT service delivery
