Description

The candidate will join the Marketing Team (Mattel Brand Activation Team), supporting the Marketing Manager and the rest of the staff regarding development and implementation of all levers of the marketing mix regarding Key Brands of the specific portfolio. Under the tutor’s guidance, the candidate will have the chance to deepen knowledge of: toy sector in Italy – main players and competitors; Mattel’s Brands strategic positioning vs competitor ones; Mattel distribution channels; how to manage co-marketing initiatives with licensing partners; planification and implementation of the advertising campaign; creation and execution of consumer promotions; drafting of materials to support sales force. In addition to this, the candidate may eventually actively join the presentation of lines to the sales force, according to Mattel Business Cycle. Moreover, under the tutor guidance, the candidate will be directly involved in managing PR activities such as:
Brief for writing press releases related to events/news;
Review of press releases related to specific event/news;
Brief for the preparation of press kits for the presentation of Spring and Fall product lines;
Contacts and continuous interface with media, pr and event management agencies.
The Internship will allow the candidate to keep on developing new knowledge and skills related to the product marketing area, and to apply theoretical knowledge acquired during university as well.
The learning objectives of the Internship are as follows:
How to create a Marketing plan;
How to launch new products;
How to properly set up pricing for different products;
How to adapt TV campaign within the local market cooperating with ad hoc related agencies;
How to create a Spot;
How to create consumer/trade print pages;
How to monitor sell-in and sell-out data;
How to monitor distribution levels of the product and to implement related corrective actions, if needed.
 
University degree [MSc] in Marketing, Customer Marketing or Business Administration attained on schedule
Italian: native or bilingual proficiency
English: fluent in written & spoken (previous experience abroad represents a plus)
Strong analytical skills
Multi-tasking attitude
Team-working and communication skills
