Senior Consulting Engineer
Cisco Advanced Services is part of the Cisco Customer Experience (CX) organization. We are the advocates for Cisco customers. It is our mission to accelerate customer success by helping customers optimize their network investment and speed adoption and migration of advanced technologies.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will be "Cisco's face to the customer," working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments, building relations and supporting customers business. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues with a seasoned mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer relationship skills, you will:
Manage and optimize existing customer Environments
Provide critical recommendations to help our customers retain their competitive edge
Identify and support customers business needs and expected outcomes
Design and implement complex solutions for Cisco’s valued customers
Plan and document highly complex Upgrade and Migration activities across multiple Cisco technologies
Build simulated networks in test labs to proof exciting new solutions
Work in larger virtual teams spanning functions, regions and departments.
Contribute to the future growth and success of Customer Experience Team

Who You’ll Work With
The Customer Experience Architecture Team consists of Route/Switch, Next Generation Networks and optimization services specializations, and is responsible for the execution and delivery of projects and optimizations solutions focused primarily on the EMEAR region. The NCE delivers the technologies, solutions and services customers need to expertly manage their networks.
Who you are
The Senior Consulting Engineer will:
Have more than 5 years’ experience (mainly in SP but even in ENT environment) in delivering professional services to big customers.
Have the capability to work with international customers looking after the evolution of multiple networks and services
Translate customer needs in network specifications, delivering technical documentation like: HLD/LLD/NIP/PSIRT/Migration procedures (Knowledge of CISCO BCS will be a plus).
Have the ability to deal with a fast pace environment, demonstrate good communication and consultative approach in front of customer.
Typically hold a university degree or equivalent experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
Have strong consulting skills, understanding customer needs and professional medium and large-scale networks requirements
Have the ability to transfer business needs to technical solutions
Be motivated to learn new technologies
Be flexible
Technical skills
Solid and proven experience on routing and switching (CCIE certification strongly preferred) with knowledge of data center and/or SDN.
Particular focus on:
-          BGP, OSPF, IPv4 and IPv6, LDP, MPLS, RSVP, Traffic Engineering,
EVPN, NFV
L2VPN services (LDP and EVPN based)
DDoS services
IXP peering
IPsec, QoS with multi-vendor technologies
basic scripting/coding knowledge (Linux,Phyton,shell)
OpenStack knowledge (nice to have)
Automation – Telemetry, NetConf, RestConf basics
Fluent in Italian and English
