The graduates will all be based in Farnborough, so you’ll be expected to spend the majority of your time there too. We are open to applications from part-time as well as full-time candidates.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop our next generation of technical talent, building the skills needed for future business
Be the first line manager for all UKI solutions architect graduates (currently 8)
Build on the existing graduate program and establish an outstanding experience for graduates and Red Hat more generally
Build effective relationships with universities to attract great candidates to the graduate program and expand the awareness of Red Hat more generally within that ecosystem
Lead and support, as needed, the Red Hat universities program
Collaborate, support, and share best practices with other Red Hatters working with graduates and universities across UKI and EMEA, including the sales team
Solid technical background; presales experience is a plus
Record of and passion for coaching and mentoring other technical professionals extensively
Good appreciation of how presales roles have evolved over the past few years; clear vision of relevant modern practices
Willingness to travel to universities and customers and for education as needed
Experience leading and motivating a group of people to achieve agreed-upon goals (this does not need to be in a people management role)
Creative problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with an ability to adapt your messaging and content to various types of audience (both technical and non-technical); being comfortable with audiences of all sizes
Ability to stay up to date on technologies and trends relevant to the enterprise market
Good working knowledge of Red Hat and its portfolio of offerings and the open source community is a plus
