The Red Hat System Operations team is looking for a Senior System Administrator to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work as part of a larger global team. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and maintain infrastructure and services, including Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), that lead to the creation of Red Hat's innovative open source software. You'll participate in building new internal infrastructure designed in accordance with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) principles. You'll be helping internal infrastructure on top of new Red Hat’s offerings to ensure that Red Hat's solutions reach market in a timely fashion at an outstanding level of quality. As a Senior System Administrator, you'll need to be able to use your passion for and expertise in helping Red Hat continue to create high-quality open source software.
Primary job responsibilities
Build, deploy, and maintain internal cloud infrastructure as well as traditional virtualization-based environment
Maintain data center environmental, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting systems
Foster availability, reliability, and resilience of delivered infrastructure and services
Document internal processes and procedures related to system administration
Solid experience with Unix or Linux operating systems; Linux certifications are a plus
Experience with cloud computing; familiarity with Red Hat OpenStack Platform or Red Hat OpenShift is a plus
Experience with containerization and running containerized environment
Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation and automated system and application deployment
Knowledge of Git, GitHub, and GitLab and experience with other version control systems
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
Ability to effectively prioritize and carry out tasks with alignment to actual demands
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
