Description

Roche Diagnostics in KZN is seeking an Account Manager to implement planned sales and marketing activities to achieve assigned territory sales and revenue growth objectives and targets for assigned product portfolios (Point of Care) for assigned clients and in line with local marketing and sales strategies, guidelines and requirements.
The role will entail:
Implementing the account strategy for the assigned product portfolio/s within each assigned client key account within the assigned territory in line with marketing strategies to achieve set territory sales targets.
Identifying new possible sales opportunities within existing clients (new products or channel filling opportunities) and communicating same to relevant internal stakeholders for actioning.
Maintaining ongoing liaison, contact, interaction and communication with customers and specifically key responsible contacts within the assigned territory in order to provide customer service excellence and influence into customer business requirements & growth strategies.
Working closely with the Key Account Manager for the respective key account to ensure national strategies are implemented at individual customer level.
Implementing the relevant promotional activities in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders for existing accounts and new possible clients in order to market and promote Roche services and products.
Acting as the 1st line of contact and respond to customer complaints and requirements.
Monitoring market, customer and competitor movements and report back to relevant internal stakeholders for appropriate action/response.
Provision of accurate sales information inputs regarding customers to the relevant internal stakeholders for accurate tender and pricing negotiations for the defined period as well as effective contract terms and conditions negotiations and management.
Identifying and implementing agreed continuous improvement strategies, attending and representing Roche at specific customer functions in order to maintain and further build the customer relationships and participating in Global and EMEA working groups providing account management learnings and drawing from learnings from the groups.
Inputting timeous and accurate reporting into Salesforce in accordance with relevant SOPs to provide internal stakeholders with required business information.
You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:
Required Qualification: National Diploma in Medical Sciences or equivalent as a minimum whilst the preference is for a university degree in Medical Sciences. A Business Management qualification is an advantage.
Required Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience (a minimum of 1 year commercial sales experience in the medical industry and 2+ years laboratory experience)
