Job Overview Qualcomm Technologies Inc. focused on inventing technologies that connect and empower people in ways that are elegant and accessible to all. QTI is actively seeking hardware operation engineering candidates to join the biometric development team. This team is responsible for developing new 3D finger print technology to all devices. In this role, the systems engineer is responsible for collaborating with all of the design engineering groups (hardware, firmware, test, etc.) to ensure the overall design specification and system performance requirements will be achieved. This operation lead engineer is expected to play a key role to customer on site support and be able to evaluate and develop the hardware aspects of the overall design from the perspective of how the individual blocks must function together as a cohesive unit. In addition, the system engineer will act as a leader to coordinate the activities for the support of customer site. - Quickly perform engineering analyses to meet requirement of customer - Collaborate with Design team and Process Development teams to deliver solution to customer - Customer on site support and coordinate development actvities - Act as a technical leader to full fill dedicated customer and development demand. - Coordinate project activities with other external engineering resources, vendors, and consultants.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications 12 +years experience in the following areas: -Product development processes for electronic systems and mobile devices -Part of a product development team in an electronic hardware design capacity - Mobile device design or manufactured experience -Familiar with finger print or touch ID design -Excellent English and Mandarin communication
Education Requirements Required: Master's degree or above, Electrical Engineering, Material engineering or computer science related
Preferred: Master's, Electrical Engineering, Material engineering or computer science
