Responsibilities


Under the supervision of the director and lead teacher, the substitute assistant teacher will assist in the supervision, education, and support of children with disabilities , birth-36 months of age, in a nursery school/early intervention setting. The assistant teacher will work closely with the lead teacher(s) in the delivery of services to children with disabilities on an as-needed basis.


Some specific responsibilities of this position require incumbent to:


Assist in the daily preparation of the classroom and play yard activities


Assist in documenting and maintaining daily observations of children in all areas of development


Prepare school bulletin boards


Assist in the end-of-day clean-up activities


Attend daily meetings


Assist with classroom upkeep and maintenance.
