The Associate Director of Global Strategic Insights and Analytics drives the integration of deep human insights and advanced analytics to drive business strategy and industry-leading growth for the key ASEAN markets. He/she will facilitate data-driven decisions in the consumer, shopper and professional domains using insights and analytics tools. As part of the AP Region GSI&A Organization, his/her main accountabilities would include uncovering local insights to drive commercial and new product innovation (to be channeled to the global organization), monitoring and optimizing initiatives and business performance and establishing a strong understanding of shoppers and channels to drive in-store excellence. Working closely with the Retail Head, he/she is also responsible for driving AP strategies and priorities into the key ASEAN markets against the backdrop of the global strategy for each need state and significantly contributing to the business and strategic plans.
This person will also be one of the critical bridges between the Cluster, BAM & GFO organizations across SEA & help translate business challenges into actionable insight solutions.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and upper management to impact decision-making; Willingness to “have an opinion” backed up by insight and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings and one to one basis
Outstanding communication skills; Ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely
Is a good story teller and is able to navigate through business challenges & information at hand to stich a story together that helps steer the business forward.
Highly strategic business knowledge with the ability to appropriately use judgment and risk-taking
Must be capable of creating one’s own agenda and deliverables given knowledge and understanding of consumer businesses and GSIA OGSMs
Technical market research and analytical expertise and conversant in a range of quantitative and qualitative ad hoc research techniques and syndicated business analyses; Experience in running digital and analytics tools (MMM, DCM, etc)
Strong track record of leadership in high performance consumer packaged goods environment.
10+ years of progressed experience in Market Research, preferably in a consumer marketing or manufacturing or consulting company.
A Bachelor's degree is required; Post-graduate degree or equivalent in Market Research, Social Sciences or Statistics is preferred.
Data visualization skill is a plus
This position requires approximately 5-10% domestic and international travel.
