AVP, Team Lead, IBG Operations – Cash, Cash Operations, Technology and Operations Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities:


- Supervise transaction activities of the section are completed as per established procedures and guidelines, within specified standards of quality, agreed service level, turnaround time and industry cut-off time
- Plan optimal crewing levels within the section to achieve high level of productivity /output
- Monitor quality through appropriate mechanism to track errors and take actions to minimise operational losses
- Manage operational risks and take action to minimise the likelihood of operational risk occurring, including risk identification , mitigation , controls and reporting
- Keep abreast of business developments and banking practices, laws & guidelines and monitor the implementation of all activities/ initiatives of the department, e.g. business continuity plan, operational procedures, policies and guidelines, specific and job related training, system enhancement, etc
- Act as a main contact point to effectively communicate with internal departments, customers, service providers on relevant queries, matters or complaints
- Proactively recommend / implement best practices, streamline workflows to achieve planned productivity and close inefficiency gaps
- Proactively contribute towards successful implementation of projects/initiatives
- Lead, coach and develop staff to achieve department goals
- Promote and encourage open communication amongst all levels of staff as well as teamwork
- Organise and plan cross training and job rotation
- Escalate exceptional/outstanding/suspicious transactions to VP and other relevant parties for appropriate action

Requirements:


- Degree holder
- At least 5 year's relevant working experience with 3 year's experience of people management
- Sound experience of banking operations and practices
- Good knowledge of local and cross border payments
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
