Job Purpose

The Benelux Tender Lead leads and has the management responsibility for the Tender, Pricing & Contract Department for Belgium, Luxembourg and The Netherlands which performs the end-to-end management of
1) Tenders and commercial customer contracts
2) HCP engagement and demo contracts (consultancy/speaker/sponsoring, work orders)

Major Accountabilities

Manage and coach the Pricing & Contract Management Coordinator, the Tender & Contract Management Coordinator and the HCP Interactions Officer. Responsible for goal setting, performance review and development plan of these 3 associates.

Tender and commercial customer contracts
• Preparation of tender execution
o Regular scanning of tender publication databases to identify tender opportunities
o Read tender documentation to identify attention points and to check special topics with tender legislation
o Plan tender execution with Tender & Contract Management Coordinator

• Execution of tenders
o Participate in and follow up on completion of tender documentation in collaboration with Tender & Contract Management Coordinator
o Ensure the tender documentation adheres to country legislation and tender’s specifications

• Analysis of tender results
o Develop internal reporting on reasons for won or lost and share key learnings across the organization and present tender results to management
o Input tender results in Salesforce
o Assure proper set-up of pricing by master data team
o Perform administrative follow-up of tender execution

• Special topics related to tenders
o Cooperate with Market Access- and Sales teams to drive value-based tendering
o Follow-up on legal issues with (internal or external) legal counsel
o Meet with hospital purchasers on tender-related topics, in collaboration with the Field Market Access Manager
o Act as spokesperson for Benelux to EMEA on tender-related topics, share and implement best practices
o Monitor market trends and proactively develop competitive advantages

• Responsible for, in collaboration with the Pricing & Contract Management Coordinator and the Tender & Contract Management Coordinator, the preparation, submission and execution of commercial customer contracts (equipment and disposables).
o Assure alignment with corporate strategy
o Assure quality and timeliness
o Follow up on expiring contracts
o Provide support to Sales teams on administrative topics
o Perform administrative follow-up of contracts
o Be contact person for the Master Data Team about pricing questions

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal requirements of the country and all company policies, including internal controls and SOPs. Key compliance topics include:
o Pricing model
o EFA compliance ratio
o Consignment inventory contracts
Minimum requirements
• Academic economic or legal degree, or similar through relevant education or experience

• Fluent in English, Dutch and French (both oral and written)

• Experience with management of tenders and contracts in the MedTech industry
• Preferably 2 years of working experience in a similar position, ideally including people management

• Knowledge of the current tendering legal and compliance framework as well as business models such as Equipment Financing Agreements
• Eager to develop product- and market knowledge
• Understanding of value drivers for procurement
