Job Overview Qualcomm Technologies Inc. focused on inventing technologies that connect and empower people in ways that are elegant and accessible to all. QTI is actively seeking software IVV engineering candidates to join the biometric development team. This team is responsible for developing new 3D finger print technology to all devices. In this role, the systems engineer is responsible for collaborating with all of the design engineering groups (hardware, firmware, test, etc.) to ensure the overall design specification and system performance requirements will be achieved. The system engineer is expected to play a key role to customer on site support and be able to evaluate the hardware aspects of the overall design from the perspective of how the individual blocks must function together as a cohesive unit. In addition, the system engineer will coordinate the activities for the support of customer site. - Quickly perform engineering analyses to meet requirement of customer - Collaborate with Design team and Process Development teams to deliver solution to customer - Matcher and algorithm development - Collaborate and interface with leads from the Contractor(s) and company's teams to analysis the technical proposals, IV&V plans and ensure they meet the best practices guidelines. - Act as the main contact for general and technical questions, interfacing with the external contractor(s) and the internal technical teams to solve issues and/or answer general questions. - Oversee the integration tasks milestones and ensures adherence to higher level master plans and schedules. - Lead and manage the software and hardware integration activities in a test (maintenance) environment and in the production (real-time) environment. - Develops software and hardware test procedures for verification & validation - Issue acceptance reports/certificates based on pre-defined success criteria. - Control and Manage and update the projects Technical documentation.
Minimum Qualifications 5+ years experience in the following areas:
-Software development for electronic systems and mobile devices
- Familiar with biometric IVV test procedure
-Familiar with matcher and algorithm of finger print
-Strongly Knowledge to integrate software in window and android system
-Strongly Knowledge in programing languages (Java, C++,XML..)
-Familiar with finger print or touch ID design will be plus
-Excellent English and Mandarin communication
