Description

At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 600 cities around the world.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.
About the Role

The Cities Team is at the heart of our drive to make Uber both big and beloved by the people that matter in the cities we serve - both now and in the future. We are on the front line when it comes to advocating for our vision for urban mobility, striking strategic partnerships and celebrating cities in ways only Uber can.

As the Head of Cities for the Saudi Arabia you will play a critical role in developing and nurturing critical relationships in your cities for Uber that will grow our business, raise our profile and shift perceptions across a fast growth country. This role will be the interface between the business and our key stakeholders in our cities (i.e. regulators, government officials, business community, academia, not-for-profits).

This is a particularly challenging and rewarding role: Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest growing markets in the region with some big opportunities and can be a challenging market at the best of times with established competitors and complex market dynamics. You will need to deal both businesses as well as helping with engaging policy makers, as such, this role will require significant travel around Saudi Arabia.

What You’ll Do

The successful candidate will work on our most strategic projects: driving the local strategy,  advocating for and elevating our narrative working closely with local authorities and policy makers. They will also be able to proactively identify, engage and build advocates amongst key stakeholders in these cities that can help support Uber’s vision of urban mobility.

What You’ll Need

A minimum of 8 years experience within management consulting, strategy consulting, banking, operations - within a tech company or similar
In depth knowledge of working in Saudi with specific exposure to working with regulators and policy holders within KSA
Minimum Bachelors Degree within a related field - MBA highly preferred
Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment
Outstanding negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills
Stellar networking flair and the ability to make partnerships happen
A creative approach and a rounded understanding of everything Uber does
A proven ability to work cross-functionally
Flexibility to travel and passion for being in the cities we serve
