Global Customer Projects Operations (700 people around the world, 500 M€ sales) is an entity fully dedicated to projects execution in solution business. Our main mission is to master and grow large, complex and international turnkey projects for global accounts and targeted customers in various segments. We lead Regional Application Centers, Global Expertise, Regional Execution platforms and support functions.
Global Customers Projects Operations is looking for Customer Project Director(s) for coming projects.
As Customer Project Director, your missions will be the following:
Lead the execution of complex solution projects: large, multi businesses with high added value and very high level of risk involving several internal and external entities in different countries; following applicable company polices and process (main one being CPP: Customer Project Process)
Manage large project team from all involved departments (Project Management, Engineering, Service, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, ...) to insure full customer satisfaction and financial performance. Develop and address opportunity plan though Variation Orders & Services.
Drive the coordination and the interface with customers, third parties and other contractors for timely execution of the project from contract award till project closing.
As expert in Project Management, deploy and promote best practices and lessons learned toward Project Management community

As Customer Project Director, your key responsibilities / activities will be the following:
Steer, organize and lead project team and suppliers via project team charter. Insure operational management of project team & suppliers. Can have hierarchical responsibilities. Insure effective communication within the team for best team coordination and motivation.
Manage project contract insuring fulfilment of Schneider Electric contractual obligations and application of its contractual rights (protect company's interests); Drive project team and support functions via appropriate actions to manage claims and timely recover customer receivables (payments…)
Monitor, control & report project execution status, progress & KPIs. Ensure full & effective reporting to management (reports, project reviews, …); Inform timely leadership team about all key & relevant project events impacting project performance or compliance with governance principles
Master project risks & opportunities via strong project team work over full contractual perimeter. Assess the analysis of all kinds of risks & opportunities (Financial, technical, commercial, ...) then define and carry till successful completion necessary actions to avoid or mitigate risks and achieve opportunities.
Develop customer intimacy (including end-user if applicable), leading and organizing all project team interaction with customer organizations (correspondences, emails, calls, meetings, ...). Insure highest level of customer satisfaction for both delivered solution and customer experience during project execution phase.
Take full accountability over project profitability including 1. budget (cost & margin) forecasting, engagements follow-up & re-forecasting over all Schneider Electric involved entities; 2. Cash & working capital management strategy; 3. Successful implementation of all profitability improvement actions.
Ensure project team and suppliers are executing the project in full compliance with Schneider-Electric processes, quality instructions and governance principles. Take all necessary actions to correct any deviations or quality issues occurring during project execution.

Qualifications
University Master Degree (Engineering and/or Business)
Minimum 10 years in Customer Project environment
5 years as Project Manager with experience managing large teams, remote project team
