Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be responsible for:
Establishes operational structure, objectives and assignments to ensure effective management of facility operations, site services and maintenance programs including: management of outside service providers, energy conservation, asset management, reliability centred maintenance, resource planning, life cycle costing, and combine global practices with industry procedures and best practices,
Manages the administration of cost effective preventative and reactive maintenance programs, and customer work order systems using applicable tools,
Utilizes Facilities Work Order System to log, track, execute and close out customer and Facilities work requests.
In collaboration with EH&S, is responsible for the development and management practices that promote and protect health, safety, security, the quality of work life, the environment and organization effectiveness.
Assures the facility and its operation comply with corporate and local laws and regulations ensuring a Right to Operate,
Develops and manages operating and site budgets, assigning and controlling budget spending,
Supports global functions in engineering, calibration and validation activities,
Leads and manages CAPEX projects as required by business.  Projects to be executed in accordance with company policies and procedures. Includes review of designs providing input to ensure inclusion of best practices. Works with Project Manager and Global Engineering on large CAPEX projects to ensure effective execution of projects, inclusion of user requirements and turnover to Facilities.  
As Site Security Officer (SSO) oversee all aspects of site security including budgeting, staff leadership and control of contracted security services. 
Monitors and evaluates energy consumption, identifies energy savings opportunities, develops and executes appropriate sustainability projects.   
Establishes and maintains effective relationships and communication with site senior leadership, internal customers and service providers to ensure superior customer service levels.
Develops and manages a high performance organization that is customer focused and committed to the success of the department and organization.
Leverages Facilities Management knowledge by fostering a knowledge sharing network and exchange between Roche Molecular Solutions Facility Management Groups. Implements Roche global standards and directives.
Performs management functions, including performance management, staff training and development.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or facilities management; or equivalent combination of education and work experience (more than 10 years),
Registered Facilities management registration with relevant board will be preferred,
10 years of work related experience and 6 years of progressive people management experience,
Site facilities and project management experience in a regulated diagnostic, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment,
Project management and team building skills, and organizational ability to implement new projects and programs in a timely and effective manner,
Experience with fit-out and build-out projects for design and construction of new sites,
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, negotiation, collaboration, influencing, and management skills,
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups, including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization and gain their cooperation,
Effective verbal, visual and written communication skills with ability to listen effectively and persuade or influence others.
Commitment to provide superior customer service to all internal customers.
Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, prioritize and delegate in a fast paced and changing environment.
