What is the opportunity?

A trainee opportunity where you will be processing transactions and completing reconciliations to include the signoff as a preparer, analysis of data from core accounting systems, provision of analytical support to planning and forecasting team and support of RBC Management reporting and audit process.  You will work within tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring key reconciliations are produced and appropriate attestations are completed.

 

What will you do?

Ensure key control reconciliations are produced and reviewed in line with policy
Ensure timely and accurate production of standards of documentation (SOD) packages
Escalate to the PEGA Financial Controller any issues or areas of concern regarding SOD packages and reconciliation breaks and ensuring that the appropriate action is in place
Management of internal and external audit processes as appropriate
Ensure that key schedules are prepared accurately for audited financial statements
Provide assistance with the production of monthly and quarterly Management Information
Production of supporting schedules to enable commentaries and variance analysis
Provision of analytical support to planning and forecasting team
Assistance with uploading and reconciling plan and forecast figures
 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Experience in Microsoft applications (Excel/Word/Powerpoint)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
 

Nice-to-have

Multiple stakeholder management skills
Experience in a financial control environment
Experience in reconciliation procedures
Experience in production of analysis schedules
