Science & Enabling Units IT at AstraZeneca has a need for experienced Java Developer to support the delivery of a Clinical Trial Safety Data Review system for AZ’s Global Medicines Development (GMD) organisation.
Clinical Trial Safety Data Review is a process by which data from incoming trials is assessed for validity, quality and where required, for safety assessment by trained specialists such as study physicians. Science & Enabling Units are developing an associated IT toolkit to support the review process.
The toolkit, currently termed the Trial Data Review Centre will provide near real-time updates of information being logged at clinical sites and allow the search, filtering, listing and review workflow required to systematically ensure that the review process is efficiently completed.
The developer will be working against the full stack which is a Spring MVC/Thymeleaf front end communicating to a Spring Boot backend running on Tomcat with data access to Postgres via Camunda workflow engine and to a Mongo database.
The Project will work on an Agile framework on 2 week sprints. The developer will need to have the ability to look at the BA ‘story’, estimate how long it will take to deliver, and keep closely to time lines.
The developer will be involved with daily stand ups for UK, US and Swedish staff. Excellent communication and language skills are essential (working language is English).
