Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with typical hardware BOMs/cost drivers, process documentation and assembly and test processes.
Experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations.
Experience in working with global and cross-functional internal and external teams.
Preferred qualifications:
MBA, MS in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant field.
Experience in the consumer technology market, negotiation experience with partners and third party suppliers.
Experience managing supplier ramp for large scale consumer electronics programs.
Ability to speak and write in Japanese or Korean fluently and idiomatically.
Capability to face pressure and persistence to achieve target.
Developed interpersonal skills and be self-motivated and result oriented.

Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
As a Global Supply and Operation Manager, you will be the primary contact for internal teams and external partners/suppliers for new product introduction as well as, ramp/sustaining supply readiness. You'll build consensus with both internal and external stakeholders and will be the main contact for discussions and lead supply commitment.
You will also be part and support the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide Google’s Consumer Hardware Organization with optimal pricing, flexibility, quality and supply assurance.

Lead cross-functional teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp and product transitions and manage relationships and escalations from both internal and external stakeholders.
Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule or demand. Anticipate production and operational risk.
Drive manufacturing operational readiness of suppliers, including but not limited to planning long term forecasts, Purchase Order readiness, daily production plans, and securing adequate capacity.
Review day to day production results, critical production/yield issues that impact supply, and drive resolution with cross functional teams. Work with suppliers to ensure performance targets for Quality, Turn Around Time (TAT) and Throughput (I/O/S) are met or exceeded from ramp to EOL.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
