Group Treasury Market Risks & Execution Liquidity Manager

Group Treasury overall aim is to steer the business through involvement in planning and steering mechanisms to a business mix that makes optimal use of scarce financial resources and improves return for the bank as a whole.

The Group Treasury Market Risks & Execution (MR&E) function takes the lead in bringing ING’s market risk profile within risk appetite limits. Furthermore the liquidity management team manages the short term funding access, the cash and collateral positions and thereby effectively secures ING adherence to contingent liquidity risk metrics such as the liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) and cash/collateral profile.

A Liquidity Manager in the Netherlands takes care of a multitude of tasks, all related to the management of short term instruments that are used to manage both short term interest rate positions and short term funding needs.

Job description

As a Liquidity Manager you will be responsible for the day to day (and intraday) cash and nostro management in a wide range of currencies and significant amounts. You will be active in constantly moving money markets, executing FX and MM deals in order to manage ING’s Balance Sheet, Central Bank Reserve Requirements and Central Bank balances. As an active market participant, you are on top of all developments in financial markets and the regulatory environment. In that capacity, you act as eyes and ears of the bank.

Group Treasury holds a significant bond portfolio which is tactically managed in your team by executing (reverse) repo’s, collateral switches, collateral up/downgrades. Moreover, contractual collateralization execution and inventory management fall under the scope.

You will report into Head of Liquidity Management and Money Markets NL and will closely cooperate with other GT locations and departments. You will have constructive and strong relationship with 2nd line function to be effective in this role.

Your profile

You are an analytical and resourceful team member with strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills. You feel at ease performing under pressure and are able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and conditions. You have a passion to read and beat the market. You are diligent and prudent in ensuring that regulatory and internal limits are not breached. You are a team player, able to voice your view and deliver input for changes and projects within the bank that might affect the banks’ liquidity position. You are on top of the market and news flows impacting the market and translate market developments into balance sheet advice and provide guidance and support to our (non) commercial internal business partners. You are determined to succeed and always take the extra mile to achieve ING’s and Group Treasury’s objectives.

A profile with knowledge of professional GroupTreasury/Financial markets cash and liquidity management and experience in Money Markets and Fixed Income Markets is preferred. You have and academic or HBO degree in business economics (or similar). You incorporate ING values into your work and interactions.
