About us

Doha College is a leading British International School for children aged 3-18 offering a well-balanced, all-embracing curriculum that follows the UK National Curriculum. We are also the first accredited High-Performance-Learning school in the world. With consistently outstanding educational achievements and excellent examination results at all levels and long waiting lists, Doha College will be expanding over the next two years, with a 4 and a 6-form Primary, and 10-form Secondary school operating across two campuses.

The opportunity

We are now looking to appoint a motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to start from February 2019. The HR Manager is the most senior HR practitioner in the College and is responsible for leading a team of six staff to provide an efficient and effective HR service to the Primary and Secondary Schools, and the Doha College Academies.

The successful candidate will be required to work across both Doha College campuses and will also support the move to the new campus in Summer 2020. The role would suit an HR generalist with experience of the entire spectrum of HR activities (including managing a monthly payroll). The ideal candidate will have a HR management qualification, such as a CIPD Level 7 qualification, prior experience working in an HR management role within an educational setting (although excellent candidates from other industries will be considered) and will have effective influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills as well as the ability to form excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders. They should have experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures and a good understanding of HR and how it can add value to an organisation. A high standard of written and spoken English is essential.

Our salary and benefits package is recognised as one of the best in the Middle East. This is a sponsored position which offers an attractive tax-free salary. Staff recruited from overseas also receive a monthly accommodation allowance, an annual flight allowance and a substantial settling in allowance. We also have an effective induction programme for all new staff to support relocation.
