Our main mission is to master and grow large, complex and international turnkey projects for global accounts and targeted customers in various segments. We lead Regional Application Centers, Global Expertise, Regional Execution platforms and support functions.

Head of Senior Tendering Managers
As Head of Senior Tendering Managers, your missions will be the following:
Responsible for the successful tendering of solution projects portfolio, lead a team of Tender Managers handling each tender opportunities toward business performance and customer satisfaction while ensuring the compliance with applicable company polices, process (CPP, SOCs, Solution Guidelines, ...) and tools.
Master solution business risks and opportunities at center's portfolio level in order to insure accurate risk coverage and mitigation with opportunities.
Ensure effective TM coordination and interface toward internal stakeholders, customers and third parties
Put in place within own team and toward other department a solid collaboration spirit in line with Schneider-Electric values.

As Head of Senior Tendering Managers, your key responsibilities / activities will be the following:
Manage hierarchically multi-cultural Tendering Management team (with by exception some other roles) toward business and financial objectives. Structure, build and develop team.  Assign TMs on opportunities based on their expertise & experience and opportunities risk & complexity. Manage workload vs. business requirements.
Ensure within own portfolio that opportunities are properly tendered by her/his team in term of time, cost and compliance with customers requirements (RFQs). Support & coach TMs in the preparation of Tender Approval reviews with the management. Contribute to Center's business reviews.
Coach Tender Managers to increase their functional (Contract, Quote, Costing, Risk...) and leadership (behavioural & personal) competencies' proficiency level. Ensure TMs' leadership on tenders and effective collaboration with other functions (Sales, Opp. Leaders, Technical, Finance, Supply Chain, Service ...).
Provide operational support to her/his TM team in term of methods, mindsets, communication and stakeholder management. Bring expertise and know-how in the management of critical issues and take active part of issue escalation process. Can takeover temporary TM role on critical bids.
Develop TMs' customer oriented mindset in order to insure full customer satisfaction. Help TMs to manage customer relationship and handle critical customer issues if needed. Support TMs during major bids negotiation with Customers.
Take full accountability over opportunities portfolio business performance & profitability including 1. Timely delivery of customer proposals in line with Solution Guidelines and DoA; 2. Accurate monitoring of Tender compliance with RFQs; 3. Accuracy of cost & margin calculation and compliance with BU profitability targets.
Some words about scope & environment:
Within a Zone Application Center (zone being either a consistent multi-countries area or a large country) under Zone Execution Center leadership or Regional Application Center (Region being a consistent multi-Zone area) under Application Center Manager leadership

University Master Degree (Engineering and/or Business) or equivalent
10 years experience in Solution Tendering and/or Customer Project environment
Proven people management experience, ideally within multi cultural, multi sites and/or matrix organization
Tender Manager experience managing large bids, remote Tendering team management is a plus
Team player/builder to put in place collaborative climate to leverage diversity and implement changes
Strong leadership skills (effective communication, collaboration, …)
Strong capabilities to negotiate influence and convince in a matrix environment
English mandatory; second language is a plus
