Work as part of graphical user interface team on new cluster/HUD designs. Other team members include Design, Ergonomics, D&R, Marketing, PMT.
Develop cluster/HUD interaction which includes menu structur; logic and flow diagrams; behavior and screen flow based on customer interaction with steering wheel controls. Support engineers creating models developed and delivered to supplier to aid in understanding HMI interaction.
Creation and population of language translation table for each program
Work with feature owner and Driver Information Core team to develop the HMI and logic for undefined/new features. e.g. Trailer Backup Assist, Trailer Reverse Guidance, Terrain Management Modes, Selectable Drive Modes, Driver Assistance features.
Work directly with Tier 1’s to aid understanding of all HMI requirements.
Support validation of HMI interaction through customer clinics.
1-3 years projects experience building interactive software models.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), social science, computer science or design, preferred
Proven track record of delivering quality design work in dynamic, diverse, fast paced environments across multiple projects on schedule
Experience contributing to user research processes (contextual inquiry, participatory design, concept testing, usability testing, etc.)
High energy and passion for understanding current consumer technology trends and interaction paradigms
Happiest in designing and thinking out-of-the-box scenarios
Portfolio or samples demonstrating work examples is required
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in taking lead with ill-form projects to initiate product definitions
Proficient with a variety of wire-framing and prototyping tools
Knowledge of Axure RP, Qt, Sketchbook, Sketch, Principle or related
Ability to prototype interaction models
