Our Infrastructure Engineering team is looking for a new team member!

As an Infrastructure Engineer, your task is to build and configure new and existing systems with respect to infrastructure and application software standards as part of the implementation process at the Global and Regional level.
To provide technical consultancy to internal/external DHL customers to support the implementation planning for the successful deployment
Response to and resolution of issues with both the regional and global infrastructure server environment setup hosted within the ITS and region for the Operating Systems / Hardware / Infrastructure applications to ensure maximum provision of service.

The team manage Infrastructure Build, Operations Acceptance Test and Release Infrastructure to Production.
The role of Infrastructure Delivery Specialist is to support and participate in Infrastructure build and commissioning activities ensuring timely and quality delivery to Business Colleague. Release to production of new/enhanced infrastructure and services and to support small scale hosting services projects in junior project manager role.

Apply Infrastructure build process across the groups for Production Services infrastructure delivery, build, migrations and release to production
Execute project management activities (including project kick off, reporting, consolidation, analysis of reports, budget, timeframes, project status) for small or medium Hosting or Infrastructure services related projects
Lead or support small or medium projects with low complexity by providing expertise in planning project timelines, deliverables, resources and quality control of deliverables.
Manage change requests (new hosting services, migrations, hardware upgrades, full decommission) to production environment while minimizing adverse impact to business, responsibility for quality of documents and coordination within Production Services
Manage on time hardware infrastructure delivery and release to production of Hosting and Infrastructure services to meet customer timescales and requirements across global data centers.
Manage project deliverables of multiple groups within Production Services (eg. Global Infrastructure Services, Global Infrastructure Operations and Solutions Support) to achieve the required timeline and quality of a release to production
Obtain signoff of Operations Acceptance Testing (OAT) related to new infrastructure. These Acceptance tests are for all infrastructure and components supported by DHL IT Services Production services such as Operating System, Databases, Storage Area Network, Operations monitoring tool, Backup and Middleware
Risk and impact and Change Approval of hardware infrastructure related requests for change in “Approval in principal” and "Approval for Implementation" phases
Single point of contact  for multiple specific projects on behalf of Production Services


Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
2–3 years working experience with IT Cooperation
Fundamental knowledge in Infrastructure used by the Operations Centre such as Operating System, Databases, Storage Area Network, Operations monitoring tool, Backup and Middleware
Strong communication skills and relationship management
Strong analytical skills, risk management, stress management and timescales for implementations and capacity trade-off
Experience with change management and release to production process preferable
Results oriented and driven by goal achievement with a strong focus on high quality
Strong in constructive challenge
Experience with environment using ITIL best practices
Able to work in a multi-functional & multi-cultural environment, where consensus is paramount
Customer-centric and end-users focused
