The infrastructure team within the Quantitative Analytics department is responsible for development and maintenance of the tooling and infrastructure used for efficient development and smooth delivery of the quantitative analytics models to production. The team is mostly based in Prague but provides supports to all QA teams across the globe.The team is responsible for:
What will you be doing?
The Infrastructure Quant Developer will join the existing team and will help with existing and new projects. This includes all aspects of software development life cycle for more than twenty infrastructure components - technical analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance and support.
The expectation is that the candidate will be able to take a problem, break it into solvable tasks and discover a maintainable solution. Good communication skills are required as the role requires interaction not only with the immediate team but also other teams within QA and IT. The candidate will also need to support and solve end user problems.
The role does not have any direct reports.
• Key Accountabilities
o Development and maintenance of tooling in the QA department
o Providing software development support to Quants
o Maintenance of the used infrastructure
o Ensuring processes are followed (includes tuning the processes)
• Stakeholder Management and Leadership
o Interaction with Quants – support, close cooperation, delivering QA products
o Interaction with IT teams (QA clients) – providing our products
o Interaction with ProdOps teams – ensuring our infrastructure works
o Providing support to QA management when required
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor degree in computer science from a top university or a master degree in another technical discipline (physics, engineering, maths) with relevant experience
• Experience with following technologies:
o Good C# or Python knowledge and proven work experience
o Windows system administration and general networking knowledge
o MSSQL Server and relational DB concepts knowledge
o Experience with DevOps development approach
o Linux system administration, multi-platform (Windows, Linux) development
o Perl / Python / Powershell scripting
o Systems management and monitoring tooling (e.g., Nagios)
o Data warehousing / ETL
o Basic understanding of C / C++, LVVM, Clang
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Masters Degree or PhD
• Multi-platform development (Windows, Linux)
• Experience in other languages
• Experience designing/migrating/supporting technology solutions using cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS)
• Web development (client/server side)
