We Offer


An exciting and challenging role as a legal counsel within the dynamic and evolving international environment of General Counsel located in the Guernsey Office of Credit Suisse Trust

You are providing legal advice and support to internal business partners on a wide range of topics such as trust & corporate structures, corporate governance, adherence to internal policies, data protection & information exchange, outsourcing, marketing materials, cross border, as well as contentious and litigation matters for Credit Suisse’s in-house Trust business

You will be analyzing and providing guidance on existing and new legal requirements based on laws and regulations as well as reviewing and designing solutions for the organization to adhere to those requirements

You provide trainings and draft internal and external documentation, including templates and advise on client communication

You are responsible for building up and maintaining a close relationship with other functions across the organization in an international environment, ensuring adequate communication and support with colleagues on a broad range of matters

You have the possibility to engage, handle and coordinate matters with external legal counsel

The opportunity to support projects and internal working groups which have senior management attention

You Offer


A law degree; qualification as a lawyer (attorney / solicitor / barrister / advocate) is desirable

At least 4 years’ experience at a law firm or in a dynamic in-house environment

A proven knowledge of the Guernsey legal and regulatory regime and requirements a background in other common law jurisdictions would be desirable

Familiarity with banking and trust law, as well as regulation governing the financial industry would be an asset

You combine your solid analytical skills with the ability to take care of multi-jurisdictional business partners

You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive, empathetic personality and can-do attitude who loves to handle multiple tasks at a time and to take decisions.

Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills allow you to integrate into a new team easily

You have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
