Description

The US GAAP Manager supports US GAAP production and analysis in the KL Center of Excellence (CoE) for the assigned Local Business Units (LBU): Japan, Korea, and Australia. He/she also collaborates with the LBUs on related business concerns, and also drives continuous improvements.


Customer


• Supports US GAAP production and analysis in the KL Center of Excellence (CoE) for the assigned Local Business Units (LBU): Japan, Korea, and Australia


• Interfaces with LBUs to understand requirements and leads the delivery of high quality solutions


• Collaborates with peers to fully understand the needs and issues related to assigned LBUs


Technical


• Responsible for US GAAP actuarial financial reporting for assigned LBUs and feeds journal entry support information to Controllers group


• Calculates DAC and VOBA for assigned LBUs


• Conducts loss recognition testing and DAC recoverability analysis


• Calculates and reviews GAAP reserves according to principles and Standards of Practice (SoPs)


• Calculates fair value and reserves, as needed


Management


• Plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees the daily operation of assigned team


• Provides technical direction to assigned team, identifies competency gaps and collaborates to close gaps
