Provides analysis, coordination; support and leadership to achieve best in class status in the areas of asset management, technology deployment, operational excellence and process improvement.
Be responsible to lead the development, coordination and implementation of processes, initiatives and projects within the plant.
Lead the team of engineers to identify and develop investment projects for the plant including coordination and preparation of documents for capital approvals.
Facilitate team including site technical and engineering department to achieve continuous improvement of the plant.
Work closely with other plants as well as competence centers within BASF to develop concept, align processes & resources and facilitate improvement project of the plant.
Coordinates analysis and development of technology and cost benchmarks for regional production assets, in close coordination with Performance Chemicals’ global technology and business groups.
Collaborates with business and product management to understand future capacity & capability needs and develop investment project for the plant.
Liaises with Regional Asset Manager to ensure appropriate utilization and deployment of operational excellence programs, including development and tracking of appropriate KPI’s.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Engineering or Science) is required.
Working Experience: Minimum of 8 years of combined experience within the operations, engineering or technology fields is required.
Technological and/or operational leadership experience is an advantage.
Strong project management experience, in particular cost or process optimization initiatives.
Excellent leadership and analytical skills combined with superior interpersonal, communication, influencing and conflict/problem resolution competencies.
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives, consultants and key decision makers.
Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must.
