New Product Development Engineer - Fabrics Division - Shenzhen, China-183415

Gore’s Shenzhen Fabrics Division is seeking for an energetic, organized, and high potential product development engineer. In this role you will work within a global and cross-functional team to advance new fabric laminate product development projects from concept through commercialization.
Main responsibilities include:
Partnering with customer & market facing team to identify new product opportunities
Identifying and assessing product alternatives and fabricating prototypes
Developing test methods and procedures to assess product performance
Designing & running experiments, testing product, analyzing and troubleshooting product performance issues
Working with the process engineering team to develop, troubleshoot, and validate manufacturing processes, product performance and material specifications
Working with design engineers to develop, install, and validate new testing & prototyping equipment
Identifying patent opportunities and supporting the enterprise IP processes
Effectively communicating product development progress and results with global and cross-functional teams
Applying disciplined project practices to prioritize, execute, and document your work
Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering or science(Textile, Polymer, Chemical, Mechanical, Material, etc) with a minimum of 3 years new product development, new product introduction or process engineering experience
Self-motivated and self-directed, comfortable working in a rapid paced environment
Good project management skills, ability to communicate with cross-functional project team proactively & effectively, ability to multi-task and prioritize, drive project result.
Able to identify technical uncertainties, propose resolving hypothesis and build plans to verify
Excellent communication and technical writing skills, including in English
Textile, fabric or paper processing knowledge & experience
Experience in applying statistical concepts, demonstrated ability to design experiments & analyze the data.
Hands-on working style, ability to fabricate prototypes and develop Fitness for Use test equipment
Primary Location: Asia Pacific-China-Guangdong-Shenzhen
Travel: Yes, 15 % of the Time
