Description of the Procurement Trucks Asia
:
The overall mission of the Procurement Office is to identify, select, and contract the best suppliers for the components that are to be assembled and installed on our trucks and busses. Supplier decisions are made following a rigorous selection process where technical, commercial, qualitative, and logistical aspects are scrutinized and thoroughly evaluated.
As part of the global Daimler Trucks purchasing group, synergies at a global level are sought after through a structured collaboration program together with peers in other locations.


Overview of Departments:

The TP/G3 Procurement office is responsible for all components that are directly assembled on MFTBCs Trucks and
Buses. The office is located in Kawasaki, Japan.
TP/G31 is the department responsible to purchase all Powertrain components. TP/G32 is in charge of the procurement for Electronics, Cabin, and Bus parts. TP/G33 handles Chassis components and After Sales parts.

TX/EGP is the department for Global Procurement e-mobility Daimler Trucks and Buses, located in Germany.


Overview of Position:

This position, “Project Buyer e-mobility FUSO (TX/EGP – Japan)” is a newly established position dedicated to the Procurement of key eMobility components. The team TX/EGP has a direct reporting line to the Senior Manager TX/EGP Germany and a dotted-line reporting line to TP/G32. The position is located in Japan.


- He/she is the Procurement representative to eVehicle projects at FUSO.


- He/she is responsible for driving eProjects and work together with Operative Procurement for establishing innovative, competitive and sustainable supply chain with robust quality parts & components.



- He/she is responsible for achieving Procurement-specific project targets such as material cost, tooling cost, and supplier development cost within given deadlines.


- He/she is responsible for Project management of Procurement tasks and will collaborate with key internal cross functional stakeholders.



-He/she is responsible for proper tracking and documentation of respective contracts.


- Towards upper management, he/she is responsible to consolidate and present business data logically and rationally.
