Associate Finance Director
  
Position Description
 
The Thailand Consumer Supply Chain Finance team partners the Thailand Supply Chain Leadership Team to drive systematic improvement in Supply Chain agility and cost to enable growth. We work closely across functions to understand the needs & challenges of the business, and ensure we add- value across the end to end Supply Chain network and to the business.
 
The Thailand plant is a multiple technology site, and a global Centre of Excellence for Listerine and Powder Technology, servicing both local and global/regional demand. The Thailand supply chain also comprises external manufacturers, co-packers, and a distribution center.
 
The Thailand Supply Chain Finance Controller will be a key team lead in partnering the Thailand Supply Chain organization in delivering its financial commitments. Primary objectives include
own Supply Chain financial performance with proactive identification & management of business risks and opportunities
partner with global & regional make excellence team to drive continuous performance improvement
ensure optimum resource allocation across functions
partner with the Commercial team to maximise end to end collaboration
partner across broader finance teams to ensure full compliance with the local statutory as well as SOX requirement
 
 
Key Working Relationships
 
This position currently reports to the Sr. Finance Director, Consumer APAC Supply Chain, dotted line to APAC MAKE Finance Director, Country Finance Director and Operations Director.  As part of the ES&P journey, this role may report into the APAC MAKE Finance Director in the end state.
 
The position has 2-3 team members reporting to him/her and will be working collaboratively across Finance teams in FP&A Center of Excellence, Global Services, Compliance, Tax etc. He/she will collaborate closely with global/region and country teams across commercial and supply chain functions.
 
Key business partners:
Thailand Supply Chain Leadership Team e.g. cross functional leaders including Sr Operations Director, MAKE, PLAN, Country PMO, Quality, SMP, Local Marketing and CLS (Customer Logistics)
Regional Finance and SC Pillar Finance teams e.g. SOURCE, MAKE, DELIVER
In-Country Supply Chain Finance team
In-Country Commercial Finance team
APSC Regional Costing Team
Global Services (GS/LGS) Team
 
 
Responsibilities
 
 
Financial Accounting & Management Reporting:
 
Lead business planning, latest estimate forecasts, standard costing, closing and reporting cycles
Facilitate clear representation of the business' actual performance, future plans, risks and opportunities, and ensure adequate resources are invested in the right areas
Make recommendations and Shape plans to deliver superior results
Budget planning & proactive management of capital and operating expenditures
Supply Chain related hedging / SOX compliance / US Corp and local statutory requirements
Ensure timely, accurate management reporting to Global / Regional Supply Chain management
Drive culture of Continuous Improvement, to achieve better results, accuracy, efficiency & simplicity
Contact person for Government officer on financial information and Privilege relating to Supply Chain
 
 
Business Analysis & Partnering:
 
Provide financial partnership on key supply chain initiatives with cross functional stakeholders. Drive financial analysis to facilitate identification of right risks, opportunities & valuations
Provide data driven insights and recommendations
Shape decisions & drive action
Drive financial analysis for Cost Improvement, Capital Projects, and Inventory efficiency initiatives

Develop & lead a high performing, customer focused finance team

Qualifications
Required
 
Bachelor of Finance, Accounting or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in Finance
Proven track record of
effective business partnership & results delivery, preferably in a Supply Chain context
learning agility
managing stakeholder complexity
coaching/mentoring staff, managing performance and developing people
Strong communication & influencing
