Role synopsis
BP is looking for Senior Operations Petrophysicist who will be responsible for:
· Provide visible leadership for delivery of safe and reliable data acquisition operations.
· Provide quality assurance of formation evaluation data and supplier performance management.
· Ensure conformance to BP practises and alignment with the New Well Delivery standardisation agenda.
· Participate in root cause analysis of data acquisition non-productive time events and ensure lessons are captured and communicated for effective continuous improvement.
· Contribute to the Supplier performance management process and assessment of key performance indicators.

Scope of the Role
· Open hole LWD operations
· Open hole wireline operations
· Cased hole cement bond log operations

The scope may also cover:
· Cased hole well integrity, surveillance or production logging operations
· Advise completions during TCP operations

This will be a fixed-term rotational role with an anticipated contract duration with offshore wellsite work during logging operations.O
Key accountabilities
Well planning and pre-data acquisition preparation

Data acquisition planning
Develop data acquisition plans for the Statement of Requirements (SoR) and ensure alignment to well objectives.
Assist in value of information assessments for data acquisition programmes.
Ensure wellsite operations are planned and implemented to meet BP requirements.
Assess the Risk of any data acquisition operation and propose plans to mitigate.
Provide the Wells team with detailed time / cost estimates.

Supplier interface
Work with Contract Account Manager (CAM) to perform supplier base audits and assess tools, maintenance standards, and crew competency.
Ensure that the supplier’s HSE standards are compatible with BP’s requirements.
Communicate objectives for each job to the supplier and ensure tools are in spec and available with current certification.
Work with Supplier to optimise tool string combinations to ensure efficient acquisition.
Quality control supplier tool string tension modelling performed before each job
Execution of data acquisition operations
Oversee contractors logging preparations and load out manifests, tool make-up and function testing, mobilization of logging equipment and crew.
Liaise with BP wellsite and supplier staff to ensure operations are performed in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Witness and QC critical operations at wellsite to minimize non-productive time (NPT) and assure HSE standards, data quality, timely service and data delivery.
Maintain a detailed record of non-conformance (NCR) and NPT events.
Ensure detailed tool diagrams are completed and appear on field and final log prints.
Communicate with fishing specialist to ensure that fishing tools are available.
Provide initial wellsite interpretation of logs.
Ensure timely demobilization of equipment and personnel.

Post Wireline and LWD data acquisition
Ensure quality controlled, depth shifted and processed final data is delivered on time with clear audit trail and accurate headers.
Ensure that data and reports are provided to partners and regulatory bodies.
Ensure NCR and NPT reports are completed and closed out in a timely manner.
Prepare summaries for end of well reports covering safety, quality & performance.
Complete after-action reviews, document lessons learned for continuous improvement, share with subsurface teams, specialists, and Operations Petrophysics CoP.
Assure the accuracy of invoices with data acquired and delivered with the SORAC.
Ensure the Supplier maintains Wireline and LWD Logging Equipment as required.
Ensure completion and accuracy of all data documents required for life of well.

Supplier Performance Management
Assist CAM with contract tenders including scopes of work and bid evaluations.
Responsibility for cost control and tracking, including technical approval for payment.
Record any Supplier deviations from the contract as NCR.
Performance monitoring and reporting of wireline and LWD supplier KPIs.
Essential Education

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science curriculum

Essential experience and job requirements

· Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience in wireline and LWD operations
· Quality assurance of formation evaluation data and supplier performance management
· Experienced with following services:
o Deviated wells on Jackup/MODU/Land rigs
o PCL/TLC conveyance techniques
o Wireline fishing
o Guard
