Description

The Solution Lifecycle Manager (SLM) is a chapter member of Product and Service Management within the Pharma Informatics Technical Operations (PTIX) org unit. The primary responsibility of SLM is to deliver IT services to our business stakeholders to reliably make and supply quality products to our patients.

Key responsibilities
SLM plays multiple roles, with each role having specific responsibilities.
 
Service Delivery Expert
Responsible for providing reliable delivery of IT services based on IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. The responsibilities include:
Provide expertise to incident, problem management, change, release and configuration management according to ITSM.
Ensure operational stability and effectiveness of IT systems through appropriate application management, monitoring and support.
Provide configuration, adaptation, scripting and testing expertise to maintain and enhance solution according to business needs.
Contribute to knowledge management and ensure quality of knowledge, including solution documentation and knowledge base.
Maintain GxP systems in validated state, according to Computer Systems Validation (CSV) policy and procedures.
Responsible in multiple phases in the solution lifecycle, starting with relevant stages in the Implementation phase, and heavily in Operation and Maintenance, and Retirement phases.
Collaborate with delivery partners and facilitate cross-functional experts to deliver a particular service where required.
Contribute to continual improvement initiatives.

Domain Expert
Maintain a good understanding of business processes and context in which the IT services are consumed within the PT space, such as manufacturing, quality, supply chain and engineering.
Apply knowledge of systems, tools and problem solving skills in the respective domain.
Continual self development to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and domain of specialisation.
 
Technical Expert
Maintain good working knowledge of products, both commercial off-the-shelf and proprietary solutions used in the respective domains. These include data historian, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Calibration Management Software, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Lab Execution System (LES), Chromatography Data System (CDS), CAPA, QMS, and system and equipment interfaces.
Maintain a good understanding of industry reference architecture and terminology.
Apply hands-on skills in the underlying technologies required to operate, maintain and enhance the solutions.
 
Depth of subject matter expertise, complexity of solution landscape, mission-criticality and service levels of solutions, service delivery model and stakeholder landscape vary according to the seniority level.

Mandatory Skills
Experience in one or more domains: manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, preferably in life sciences industry
Expert hands-on experience in one or more of the following: data historian, MES, calibration, LIMS, LES, CDS, CAPA, QMS, and system and equipment interfaces.
Working knowledge of Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and GxP
ITIL V3/V4, certification is an advantage
Possess a combination of analytical thinking, hands-on problem solving, and a customer-service mindset

Life sciences industry and commercial process, solution, application and system knowledge preferred
Academic Requirement
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience).
Years of Relevant Working Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT
3 years of relevant experience as SLM
Working hours
Normal hours with flexibility to participate in virtual meetings outside of normal hours, participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, and respond to escalations in the event of major incidents.
