What you’ll be doing...
As a full-time member of the Verizon Security Operations Center (SOC) Advisory Services team, the SOC Advisory Services Compliance Lead will be responsible for providing applicable regulatory compliance support (including regional government, industry and enterprise regulatory compliance) for proposal efforts and active engagements in their assigned region, or cross-region if required. The role is both internal, as well as client facing, and requires the following primary skills: knowledge of and/or ability to research applicable regulations, basic technology understanding, risk management, and cyber security concepts. In addition, good oral and written communication skills are required.
The SOC Advisory Services Compliance Lead would work with the Strategy and Compliance Executive, applicable Regional Lead(s), and proposal and engagement management to:
Assist in development of templates for basic regional compliance requirements;
Maintain, and manage compliance related SharePoint information;
Research regulatory requirements in customer businesses, Countries, and regions;
Maintain current knowledge of present and upcoming regional and relevant industry regulatory changes;
Develop, maintain, and execute processes to ensure timely communication of regulatory changes and associated impacts to proposal and execution Teams working in their region;
Coordinate with Legal and PS Compliance functions to ensure synchronization with SOC engagementssupported through the SOC Advisory Services Practice
Provide compliance consulting to the presales process
Provide on-going compliance consulting for existing engagements as regulations or the Customer’s business change.
Periodically (at least annually) review and assess regulatory compliance of all active engagements in the region, providing a report outlining the current state, required corrective action (if any)and associated impactsand deadlines for completing corrective action;
Prepare digestible, actionable and timely information for Team Management in support of assigned responsibilities including but not limited to, executive summaries, detailed design/progress reports, slide decks, and presentations.
Periodically participate in presentations to Customer stakeholders, including management and executives, on Regulatory Compliance and impacts on Customer strategy.
Participate in meetings where applicable with other Verizon Security Stakeholders, Sales teams, and Contract Governance management to review on-going issues, interaction points, activities and challenges in the Regulatory Compliance space.
Applicant should have the ability to research, consolidate and report on assigned topics in the compliance, security and risk space, including good problem definition and solution skills. A strong ability to research and learn regulations as well as determine, convey and communicate potential impacts is required.
What we’re looking for...
This position requires a college degree
Security or Law related Major is desired, with some course study in Law, Risk or Security required.
Previous experience working inglobal and regional regulatory complianceenvironments
Detailed oriented and composed in challenging situations
Strong experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or equivalent GSuite products.
Strong verbal, analytical, and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Comfortable in dynamic and fast paced environments
Relevant coordination experience with ability to work across teams and through organizational divides preferable
Candidate should be able to work independently and interdependently as required
Ability to travel as necessary
