To provide effective and high quality support with the delivery of Global Mobility (GM) and Domestic Relocation (DR) services and guidance and advice to employees and all Businesses in the Region.
Demonstrate an overriding commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC)
Drive performance and quality deliverables from the team. Motivate a high performing team with the required capability to achieve business goals.
Act as the primary day-to-day contact for specialised GM knowledge for Businesses and assignees in the Region.
Develop relationships with BHP’s external tax and immigration vendors to ensure high quality service delivery and prompt resolution of issues.
Support global Reward GM teams with deployment and management of strategic initiatives, policy implementatioon and simplification projects as required.
Understand risks and provide input into mitigations and action planning. Ensure Risk Management protocols are incorporated into operational activities.
Identify opportunities to simplify current processes, remove duplication and minimise hand-offs to enhance standardisation and efficiency.
Support the development of an inclusive culture where employees are encouraged to ‘speak-up’ and offer their thoughts and opinions at all levels.
Ensure alignment with, and compliance to, internal controls including the BHP Charter and Code of Business Conduct, Group Level Documents, agreements, systems, standards and procedures
Global Mobility accountabilities
Execute GM and DR activities across all Businesses in the Region (policy & vendor goveranance only) for employees in accordance with the GLD, GM Service Delivery Model and external legal, regulatory and reporting requirements.
Execute GM activities for executive employees assigned to or within the region. Deliver core GM accountabilities, including but not limited to:
Specialist advice and engagement
Processes, tools, templates and systems
Support management of the GM program in the Region to ensure it remains effective and meets the needs of the Group and individual Businesses, including but not limited to:
Input into the design and management of the GM service delivery framework and end to end accountabilities
Recommend updates to GM processes, tools, templates and systems to support the execution of GM
Review GM processes, tools, templates and systems to identify opportunities for improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements
Identify issues and risks which may impact the GM service delivery framework, compliance obligations or the effective execution of GM within the Region and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risks
Develop frameworks/tools and provide GM guidance for Businesses to manage compliance requirements in respect to Short Term Business Travellers in the Region.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, as identified above, including but not limited to:
Resolution of issues escalated by key stakeholders
Provision of subject matter expertise
Provide input into GM/DR policy and strategy recommendations and other operational guidance.
Initiate and complete the administration of all GM activities , including the relocation, repatriation and separation for International Assignees (IA) and relocation activities for Domestic relocatees.
Execute and monitor all periodic and annual GM processes, including but not limited to quarterly compensation collection, year end tax reporting and salary review activities.
Monitor day to day services from external Vendors, following up on service delivery as required.
Provide guidance and support to the GAS International Assignee (IA) payroll team with respect to reporting and review of IA payroll inputs by HR Administrators.
Manage the timely and effective day to day case management for IAs, escalating complex queries to the GM Reward Specialists as required.
