Do you have an affinity for automotive and would like to gain practical experience in a multinational environment? Are you organized, able to work independently and good at solving problems?

With domination in Local Area Networks and increasing dominance in Wide Area Networks, Ethernet has evolved to now take its role in In Vehicle Networks (IVN). While bandwidth is a primary driver for Ethernet usage in automotive networks, the growing eco-system where Ethernet and its natural affinity for inter-working with Internet Protocol (IP) based technologies becomes more and more a reality for the connected car. NXP is a leading player in providing solutions for the connected car and the Product Line IVN produces a portfolio of advanced Ethernet switches and PHY devices.

We are looking for a bright, motivated student to be part of this journey and to help us improve and enhance the performance of our product portfolio


Understanding device functionalitySystem functional characterization of Ethernet Switches and PHY devices using state of the art test systems such as the Spirent C-50 Ethernet testerPhysical layer testing of PHYs with systems such as VNAsDesigning of PCBs for device validation and system demonstratorsCharacterizing the hardware performance of devicesMaintenance of lab resources and infrastructure for efficient working WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Bachelor or Master students in Automotive, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Embedded SystemsExperience on digital communications, preferably with Ethernet networkingGood analytical and practical skills, preferably experienced with lab measurement equipment and automation of test setupsAffinity with automotive electronics DURATION

The working student position will be part time (16 hours per week) for a minimum of 6 months.

Please note that in order to be considered for the position, you need to be registered as a student during the entire period.
