Supply Finance Analyst

LOCATION:  Oud-Beijerland, ZH, NL, 3261LW
JOB CATEGORY:  Support Services
REQUISITION NUMBER:  192432
Our Food Factory in Oud- Beijerland, near Rotterdam, is a great example of a hyper modern factory. Also known as ‘home of the sauce’: the innovations created here are appetising, as will be your career at Mars. In order to deliver the very best quality products, we need the most efficient supply chain. By conducting data analysis and improving our supply chain operations, you will help us increase our efficiency and reduce costs.

As Supply Finance Analyst, you’ll generate, analyse and report factory (financial) performance and create insights from performance actuals that deliver new cost improving initiatives to the site leadership team. Next to running cost calculations of new and existing products, you’ll create full P&L forecasts by using input from the local periodic forecast cycles.

This role is an interesting opportunity for someone who wants to have a finance career in the supply part of FMCG. You will collaborate closely with peer associates of the different supply departments on site. As Supply Finance Analyst for our largest factory, you’ll share best practices with our other food supply sites in Europe. You are part of the Finance team and report to the Supply Finance Manager.

Other key responsibilities are:

Performing period close activities in cooperation with the Finance team.
Analyzing and reporting financial insights and driving value improvement initiatives in cooperation with all supply departments.
Projecting P&L forecasts periodically to share with Local and European Leadership teams
Making calculations of the factory standard costs and Operating Plan and submit the data in global ERP systems
Providing a quarterly update of the Transfer Prices to the European sister sales units.
Acting as key-user for the ERP reporting system.

Are you that smart, number-crunching candidate we are looking for?
You graduated 3-4 years ago and have work experience in a similar role or environment. As Supply Finance Analyst, you should have an analytical mind and strong business acumen. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. If you also have experience in factory finances and supply chain processes, we’d like to meet you!

You definitely bring this to the table:

A master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
Understanding of what drives a complex factory
The ability to influence others to change current Way of Working (inside as well as outside S&F)
Fluent in written and spoken Dutch and English
Agile in Excel (expert level or willing to become one) as well as ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
