Cisco System Engineer
The pre-sale engineer for Cisco Enterprise Networks team is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides technical information and relation with his customers. 
The SE has direct technical accountability for specific opportunities, leveraging knowledge across the broad Cisco portfolio, including software and services. Strong knowledge of Cisco Enterprise portfolio and record of success in a pressured environment.
Increasingly we find ourselves working as advisors on architecture level across the technology domains to help customers make balanced short and long-term architecture and design decisions. 
What You’ll Do
Simplify complexity
Engage with customer's IT leadership, and increasingly business stakeholders too, to 
Gather and refine requirements for IT road maps
Help them understand the linkage to IT infrastructure capabilities
Engage with customer's and Cisco partner's IT architects and experts to
Translate business requirements to IT capabilities
Identify and understand dependencies across technology domains
Collaborate in architecture and design
Work closely with Cisco Partners to help and enable customer to for taking advantage of new technologies
Actively follow technology trends in Cisco and industry forums to gain a position as a thought leader
Build trusted meaningful relationships with selected customers and partners 
Required skills
You will have thorough knowledge of Cisco architectures and component parts. With that knowledge, you will be able to lead and define the solutions for your customers, including good analytic and decision-making skills. 
Thorough understanding and deep dive into some or all of the following technologies: Switching, Routing, Wireless LAN, network orchestration, Data Center, Collaboration, Video, Internet of Things and Security.
Strong preference to applicants with software programmability background / knowledge
Knowledge of sales cycle.
Impactful verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.
Great relationship building skills, tenacity, resilience.
Ability to work independently and remotely as well as with your team to accomplish objectives.
Good understanding of the market space and offerings.
Understand the operational side of running an infrastructure.
Curios for new ideas and technologies
Ability to position bold ideas and challenge customers with respectful and humble attitude
Good people and teaming skills
Healthy self confidence which enables being the authentic You in any situation
