The CX Strategic Assurance Team delivers a premium customer experience and Cisco growth by working as One Cisco throughout the lifecycle across highly complex and transformational engagements. Together we simplify the presales and approval process for strategic deals. Strategic Assurance develops a standard set of best practices, policies, procedures as well as tools for engagement management, deal assurance to set grounds for successful delivery execution
As part of CX Strategic Assurance Team, Deal Acceleration Team drives and coordinates Cisco CX opportunities during the Propose and the Agree phase of the sales.
Role & Responsibilities
CX Strategic Assurance Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, holding Scoping and Proposal Advisor (SPA) role leverages CX people, process & tools to rapidly & reliably position and scope CX services, software & solutions. Main responsibilities are:
Routing and Switching / Enterprise Networking, Service Provider Networking, Datacenter Networking, Security
Provide support for strategic opportunities and RFXs for CX services
Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g. Deal Accelerators, Sales, BDMs, Service Delivery Managers and Customers) during the Propose and Agree phases of the Sales Process
Evaluate deal qualification against company’s policies and communicate recommendations based on which Cisco and the customer can be successful
Work towards understanding of customer’s business and technical requirements and map them into portfolio of services and solutions
Identify and fill opportunity requirements gaps necessary to build the effort estimate, pricing and proposal documents
Calculate the level of effort needed for the successful project delivery and document the proposed services structure including scope assumptions and exclusions
Recommend the optimal project milestone structure and document possible project delivery risks
Act as a technical reviewer during the commercial proposal and services contract development / review cycles
Engage with the appropriate subject matter experts to scope multi-architecture or complex deals
Conduct quality control of all deliverables (proposals, pricing, contracts, etc.)
Proactively provide constructive feedback regarding the processes, tools and best practices
Build professional relationships with the stakeholders, manage expectations and independently prioritize the workload
Minimum Qualifications (Required Skills)
10+ years of work experience
IT industry experience
Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center & Cloud, Security
Project delivery experience within the specified technical domains
Demonstrate familiarity with Cisco’s current products and services portfolio
Good understanding of professional services delivery processes
Experience working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
Ability to take ownership, establish priorities and work independently
Demonstrate effective consultancy skills
Ability to manage and deliver the outcome without the sufficient input available
Fluent English language is required
Desired Skills (Preferred / Nice to Have)
Prior experience in at least one of the following roles: Pre-sales Consultant / Services Sales / Business Development Manager / Services Delivery Manager /Project Manager/ Consulting Engineer
Working experience in Cisco Professional Services / Cisco Partner
Good understanding of sales and lead to order process
Experience working with services proposals and contracts
Project management skills
Strong problem solving and escalation management skills
Assertiveness and ability to build right expectations with the stakeholders
Any additional European language is a plus
