Position Description
Circular economy

Today there is a lot of wiring needed in the trucks with cables now isolated with PVC plastics. Do you want to investigate what consequences a change to another isolating material can have on recycling? Volvo Trucks are partners in the Swedish circular economy program Explore. Within this program we would like to know more about recycling possibilities of wiring cables. What are the consequences of recycling if the isolator is no longer PVC?

This thesis work will be mentored from two Volvo groups, the Living group and the Cab Analysis group.
The Cab Living department works with parts inside the Cab that are not used during driving, such as wall panels, bunks and storages. At the group is also a smaller group of people working with materials such as plastics on all areas of the truck
The Cab Analysis group works mainly with calculations and analysis of durability, noise and air flow related to the truck cabs. The group also works with Volvo Truck product related environmental topics
