Financial inclusion has been a persistent challenge in our society. In the Americas alone,
hundreds of millions of consumers are not served by traditional banking sector, which makes
their struggling life even harder. 
Our vision is to take this challenge head on, by bringing both Compassion and Technology to
work. We combine data-driven decisioning, advanced technology and human-centered design
to the lending business. As a result, we are able to offer improved products, better customer
experience and access, and conducive financial education, to this population that is long
neglected by traditional banks.


Description of this role
Our product is powered by our technology platform, consisted of front-end and back-end. Our
front-end includes a website and a consumer facing mobile app. On the back-end, we have a
digital lending platform is designed to be one of the most scalable and effective platform that
enables machine learning, great associate experience and even better customer experience.
We have a solid production development pipeline. Pretty soon we will do Social Network
Integration, Chatbot, Graph-DB based fraud detection, just to name a few advanced features
and capabilities. Did we mention “to the n th power”? We absolutely mean it.
We are looking for aspiring and caring tech talent on front-end, back-end, or both. When you
join us, you will work directly with our Chief Technology Officer and our other leaders, as well as
operations team, data scientists and other tech talent, to improve our product suite. You will get out of bed every day knowing that your work makes positive impact on our customers and our
financial inclusion mission.


Activities

● Evaluate, create and improve system and software architectures
● Test, evaluate, and make decisions about new technology for the business
● Work on multiple places on our tech spectrum, including frontend, backend, system
integration and data engineering
● Design and Implement integration solutions
● Design and Implement Machine Learning solutions
● Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
● Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
● Participate in business-wide meetings to provide insight into technical requirements.
● Develop and implement new software programs
● Maintain and improve the performance of existing software

Skillset Required
● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science required
● Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies
● Demonstrated knowledge of Java and Python
● Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and DB concepts
● Demonstrated knowledge of API design and implementation
● Demonstrated knowledge of Big data solutions
● Knowledge of Android App development preferred
● Knowledge of AWS preferred
● Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
● Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
● Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
● Strong attention to detail
● Stay curious, willing to keep learning new technologies
