The software services team is tasked with applying industry best practices to the design, development, testing and deployment world-class software products. We are looking to hire individuals with experience with software development and integration in clinical and research settings, and who can help us solve the next wave of technical challenges using the latest cloud-based, big-data, and rich analytics tool sets
. You should be versed and comfortable spanning the full development lifecycle, from requirements identification and prototyping, through design and implementation, to customer acceptance and delivery. You are especially passionate about crafting excellent software designs and participating in an Agile/SCRUM setting to meet and exceed customer expectations. You like the idea of partnering with scientists, analytical chemists and bioinformatics to create outstanding clinical and research solutions. You welcome the challenge of working in a fast-paced, discovery-oriented environment and will be genuinely excited about the prospect of creatively exercising your problem solving skills on a continuous basis with an eye to ultimately improving the human condition.
Design, implement, and validate software features aimed at managing microscope data to address customers’ tracking and analytical needs. Coordinate requirements, integration, and testing with related software groups as needed. Follow organizational practices and tools such as agile development, unit testing, source code and configuration management, code reviews, specifications, and documentation. Make practical development choices given limited requirements information and defined delivery schedules. Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline. Clear ability to develop and integrate software for complex, high-performance components. Data-modeling & architecture: At least 4 years of experience doing “database design” and implementation At least 4 years strongly focused on Microsoft SQL Server development. (As the primary technology tier of focus, not simply back-end database light tasks to support mostly other development.) At least 1 year hands-on production implementation using Postgre
SQL. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to network across functional groups. Eligible for passport and able to travel. Strong Back-end with Postgre
SQL Strong general knowledge of C#, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server 5 years of experience including at least 3 years of web development with data-intensive applications. Demonstrated experience developing with Microsoft SQL Server including design and programming and interactions with high performance web applications. LOCATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
