A national program designed to prepare top-quality engineering, math and science teenagers is looking for two after school teachers. RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Support program evaluation efforts, e.g., assist in analysis of student performance or survey data ● Carry out other programmatic tasks, e.g., provide recruitment support, update program documents, represent the program to district and community partners, coordinate internship positions, write and administer grants, serve on committees ● Teach field-based certification courses ● Work with Director of Field Experiences to establish and maintain field experience sites and to coordinate student placements in field experiences ● Work with local area public school teachers, who act as mentors for the students, and conduct field observations of the students in elementary, middle, and high school contexts ● Collaborate with School of Education, College of Arts & Sciences, and College of Engineering to ensure advisement, course content, and field experiences are consistent with program goals ● Mentor students REQUIREMENTS: ● Minimum 5 years as a successful secondary mathematics or science classroom teacher, with a preference for experience in diverse public schools ● Strong written, verbal and organizational skills ● Good collaborative and problem-solving skills ● Experience and/or leadership in professional development and experience working with beginning teachers or equivalent, e.g., teacher coach or mentor ● Master’s degree in mathematics education or in a field of math ● Regular participation in state, regional, or national professional organizations and activities. ● Desire to work with pre-service undergraduate and graduate students

Community & Event Coordinator

Community & Event Coordinator Will be involved and responsible for the implementation, Monitoring and coordinating of various school-wide and divisional events, taking care of logistics. Both in a stand alone 'hands on' role and the part of a team, developing and strengthening. Responsibilities will include Planning, coordination, implementation and execution of events at ISC. The liaison between the Athletics Department and the school administration on Wildcat. Wellness Program and other athletic activities. Providing costings and work within established event budgets. Maintaining inventory and control of equipment and resources. Maintenance of the school wide and fundraising event calendars. Facilitation of a weekly Events Committee meeting. Responsibility for providing lighting, audio and visual technical set-up and support.
